The new furniture series ″Women and Chairs" was inspired from famous women and is dedicated to women.

The inspiration originates from their personality and characteristics which are rendered by special and precise lines.

I have the honor to present you first, one of my beautiful ladies, Aphrodite … the ancient Greek goddess of beauty and love.

COSTAS GONTAS

Born in Patras, Greece, 1967. Graduated from the Technological Educational Institute of Athens, majoring in interior design and followed industrial design courses at the Institute of the Hellenic Organization of Small and Medium Sized Enterprises and Handicraft (EOMMEX).

Awards:

Pan-Hellenic industrial design (1992);
Pan-Hellenic furniture design (1997);
Pan-Hellenic carnival artistic photography (2000).

Participations:

Interior Design Exhibition (1990, Athens Conservatorium), Industrial Design Exhibition (1993, Zappeion Athens), competition IFDA (2004), as well as in competitions for product design (graphic logo design for CRETAN AIRLINES, 1995, bottle design for COCA COLA, 1998). Experienced as TV and Theatre scene painter.

Since 1992, he works as interior, architectural and industrial (furniture) designer. Since 1999, he lives in his native city, Patras where he has created his own studio and art space. Member of the Patras Carnival Committee (working group of artistic coordination).

His personal creative vision is oriented towards the design planning and realization of innovative solutions, based on the human needs and desires for a modern environment.
